The Star Interbuild Africa, together with co-locating
shows Plumbdrain Africa, Aircon-Vent Africa,
Building Services Africa, Glass Expo and Woodpro
Africa, is the largest building services, construction,
plumbing, glass, aluminium and woodworking
exhibition in Africa hosting the full spectrum of
related industries in residential, commercial and
industrial development.
After Interbuild’s successful launch in 2004 of it’s
‘one-stop’ formula, positive feedback and reaffirmation
continues to support this strategy. This attractive
formula enabled over 7,700 visitors - reflecting
a 20% growth in visitor attendance over 2004
- to meet and interact with over 237 local and
international companies and gain exposure to the
latest industry developments, technology, trends,
products and services in all sectors of the
industry.
Participation at the show by the Department of
Public Works, custodian of the construction industry,
underlined its appreciation of the work beingdone by other stakeholders, inside and outside of
South Africa. This participation included a stand at
the show and the honourable minister officiating at
the opening ceremony.
Many industry trade opportunities were showcased
during the four days of the exhibition with international
companies keen to forge local business relationships
recognising that the 2010 Soccer World
Cup in South Africa will require one of the greatest
amounts of construction activity in our history.
The Star Interbuild Africa offers visitors the perfect
opportunity to compare exhibitor offerings, plan
future capital equipment purchases, and view all
the latest technology and industry trends.
Interbuild Africa focuses on the latest developments
in the extensive building services and
construction arena; Plumbdrain Africa showcases
civil and domestic plumbing, drainage, sanitation,
sanitary ware, sewerage and pipe works.
Aircon-Vent Africa covers engineering aspects of air
conditioning and ventilation - focussing on technology, engineering and educational aspects of these
industries. Woodpro Africa - recognised as the
definitive technology showcase for the latest developments
and trends – represents the woodworking,
machinery processing and furniture manufacturing
industries. Glass Expo, an exciting new trade show
for the glass and aluminium industries.
The shows receive support from many industry associations
and representative bodies who are commended
for their efforts in maintaining and promoting
the advancement of the high standards prevalent
in the South African building services, construction,
plumbing and woodworking industries today.
Attracting major decision makers from throughout
South Africa, as well as a strong delegation from
other African countries as well as international visitors,
the exhibition provides a platform for buying
and specifying, and also for developing and stimulating
growth opportunities for business. |
